Vienna, Austria native Marie Lang started her musical journey at a young age studying classical piano. Growing up she was inspired by Billie Holiday, Prince and Kate Bush to name a few, after spending hours going through her parents eclectic record collection. The transatlantic singer and songwriter studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and has since been making her way through the US as part of electronic pop duo mar|co and collaborating with producers Pat Lok and Sammy Bananas. Making her solo debut with contemporary R&B ballad “Don’t Make Me”, Marie’s silky-smooth vocals make for an easy comparison to soulstresses like Sinead Harnett and Jorja Smith, while her vulnerable tone is undeniably recognizable.
